Few & Far Luvhondo

Few & Far Luvhondo is a luxury off-grid safari lodge in the Soutpansberg Mountains, powered by a clean and reliable energy solution that supports its ambitious conservation and land-regeneration goals.

Broadreach designed, funded and installed a 125kW solar PV system with 256kWh of battery storage, enabling the lodge to operate off-grid in most conditions. A sound-proofed backup generator provides resilience during extended periods of poor weather, or in emergencies.

As a power purchase agreement (PPA), the solution includes ongoing maintenance, and the comfort of predictable energy costs, without upfront capital investment.

Designing the system required careful planning to ensure the system was integrated sensitively into the surrounding landscape, protecting the natural environment while keeping the infrastructure hidden from guests. The result is a reliable renewable energy solution that enhances the luxury wilderness experience while supporting Few & Far Luvhondo’s long-term sustainability goals.

We are so happy to be partners with Broadreach at our lodge at Few and Far Luvhondo. From the outset, the whole Broadreach team has been professional and responsive, and we have been supported throughout the whole journey. After installation, there have been regular visits and checkins with us to ensure proper functionality and so that the equipment can operate at its best.
